Steve Floyd - Pest Control
My name is Steve Floyd and I have been in the Pest Control Industry for 25 years. I started my career at Swindon Borough Council in the Environmental Health department. It was there I attended all the courses and examinations I needed to enable me to practice Pest Control. My first assignment was the centre of Swindon, mainly dealing with Rats, Mice, Cockroaches and Bedbugs within the urban environment.
In 1994, after four years experience in this field, I became the Pest Control Supervisor at Cotswold District Council. The position enabled me to branch out and expand my knowledge to rural areas along with my urban experience.
In the past 21 years that I have worked for Cotswold District Council, I have dealt with all aspects of pest control; setting up annual contracts with farms, food premises and domestic clients, along with dealing with day to day pest control enquiries.
My ambition has always been to own and run my own business and now in 2015 it was the right time to branch out alone. I have just attained a new compulsory qualification in 'Wildlife Awareness' that enables me to continue in Pest Control in the future.
